NICU CONSORTIUM PARTNERSHIP
The NICU Consortium Partnership brings together families, healthcare providers, family advocates, and community members, to support infants and their families transitioning from the NICU to their home and community. The mission of the NICU Consortium Partnership is “promoting a coordinated system of discharge and follow-up for families transitioning home from the NICU.” We do this through education in best practices as well as community and systems building.
Participation in the NICU Consortium Partnership is open to all. We especially invite families, health care and mental health providers, early intervention providers, service coordinators, and family advocates who work with families of babies who have been in the NICU or who need special care.
NICU CONSORTIUM MEETINGS DURING THE YEAR
NICU Consortium Education Webinars – are quarterly educational programs by local and national speakers. These programs provide opportunities for learning about the needs of premature, medically complex and babies and their families, as well as opportunities for networking with others who share the common goal of supporting families transition home from the NICU through a “warm handoff” to essential and knowledgeable community resources and supports. These education webinars are held on the last Wednesday of January, April, July, and October from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Announcements are sent out to all members and those who have attended the NICU Consortium Partnership Meetings previously.
