OUR IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS HELP MOMS AND BABIES

  • Our Prematurity Prevention Booklet Reaches Thousands!
We have recently revised and reprinted our popular booklet Carrying to Term: Preventing Premature Birth and Low-birthweight Babies. This easy-to-use reference provides important information such as risk factors for high-risk pregnancy, the signs of premature labor and other complications, and how to feel and time contractions. Available in English and Spanish, the book is distributed for free to hospitals, community health centers, and childbirth educators across the state. To order Carrying to Term, please email Newborn Hope at admin@newbornhope.org.

  • Our Bedrest Task Force Helps High-Risk Moms!
For high-risk expectant mothers, the prescription of bedrest is anything but restful. That's why Newborn Hope volunteers deliver "Gifts of Hope" each month. Gift bags include donated toiletries, craft projects, entertainment items, and information on pregnancy. A video and reading lending library is kept well stocked. IBM recently donated three laptops allowing moms to find on-line information and support. The Task Force is always looking for donations of craft kits, knitting and crochet supplies, toiletry items, and handheld computer games. To volunteer, please email Newborn Hope at admin@newbornhope.org
